The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 女主被迫出柜后家人对她的指责也很现实，“变态”“不正常”“有病”，真是有些说法还真是“天下大同”😁。
印度这样的背景下，拍出一部这样的片子，很有意义。很多事情会有局限让人无法按照内心，还是希望能发自内心的勇敢爱❤️
看了导演的幕后才知道，原来是非专业出身的新人导演+飞机都没坐过的素人演员，单凭这两点，已经值五星了

上春节档吧，切拜！2022.1.19 主创连线场。如何善用素人演员创作，通过本片纪录片出身的导演应该是摸索出了一套自己的方法。真实太打动人。给妈妈的演员点大大的赞，浑身是戏(生活阅历）。唯一的专业演员（女主演）也相当不容易，居然只有25、26岁，本人相当软萌。
男主的妈妈承担了主要的笑点，好可爱。普信男那个梗真的绝了，还是最后勇敢站出来了。
很真实，很真诚。
