The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 暮年英雄，壮心不已。九十岁高龄的东木老爷子还自导自演西部片，这本身就是一件很酷的事情，他永远都是那个最帅的牛仔。片子属于比较温情的，有点<老爷车>的意思，都是老爷子让男孩子得到成长，教会他们一些道理。边境的风景真的好美，感觉每一帧都可以用来做壁纸。
不像东木。时间回到80年代初，当时的东木拍了西部的《不屈不挠》与公路的《天涯父子情》，这次又是部黄昏牛仔的公路片。后半段有点崩（中间点关于信仰）。危险源于小孩、他人、自然、自我。

东木依旧讲了一个我愿意看下去的故事，一个重复自己的故事，但这次，讲的不好。
一个老人教会旁人如何温柔地看待老去的故事。
整体还是很温馨轻松的，不知为什么这是惊悚片。最刺激的镜头不过是反派把主角的车蹭下了公路。墨西哥人民很友好呀，车只可以随便“借”。

克林特伊斯特伍德是电影界的活化石，九十多岁的高龄依然保持一年一部的高产。
相当有失水准的克林特的电影，但是为了看他，我也愿意看。可是确实是他发挥得不好的一部电影。
