The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看完之后我和我的另一半认真地讨论了下这个决定。如果真的有这一天的到来，一切都不能再那时商量，只能在它还只发生于电影中的此刻商讨。我们都做不了这个决定，所以答案依然是不知道，不管是一个人纠结，还是两个人分析，永远是不知道。这也就说明了那句台词：“你只能替她做决定”到底有多么精准。
看着所有人都在成长或者老去，想想当时的时代背景。看到最后才猛然想起电影的标题。啊，没错呢。It is indeed a new era.

《鬼灭之刃 灶门炭治郎 立志篇》Ep11-14，我妻善逸、嘴平伊之助（山猪面具男）悉数登场，鼓屋的设计相当精巧有趣，唯一不足就是善逸这个角色太过中二
鼓屋的疯狂感还可以更强，鼓鬼怎么可以在一个房间里就被彻底杀掉了呢？
上流社会的贵族生活。不是我喜欢的类型，我觉得挺无聊的。不觉得黑白默片好看，我还是更喜欢彩色有声的电影。城堡，电影明星，豪车，游艇。以婚礼开场，以葬礼结束。

看完这个电影，我决定听室友的建议去看电视剧了！！！

老套的克隆设定，刻意设置的冲突，让这部电影看着非常拧巴，最重要的是这个所谓的爱与死亡的主题实在肤浅，尽管大部分世人都深陷于此——但其实这提醒了我一件事，那就是电影不是为了那些“成熟”的观众看的，而是为了更多没有看过和感受过的人拍摄。这正是艺术和人类的关系。
都可以克隆人的一切了，却没法治好一个癫痫，嘛呢！！科学家们能不能在延长寿命治疗癌症上多动动脑子啊！
里面提到了由默片向有声电影的过渡期，展现出了做默片的电影人的窘境，让人想到了那个法国电影《艺术家》（仅为个人切入角度）。
所以可以注定爱一个人吗，可以被安排爱一个人吗，克隆人是自己还是他自己？
没有多少科幻炫技的东西，其实通篇都是对生命、爱情的思考。看完莫名的伤感。
这一部突然发现老爷和Mary都有了不少岁月的痕迹，开始变老，想起当年追第一个圣诞特辑的种种回忆，这么多年对Mary的欣赏一直未变，她是一个就算独自一人也会永远潇洒优雅扛起全家的那个人，以及Violet / Maggie，我依然无法想象不再有你的那一天。
并未看过之前的剧集与电影版，所以人物关系理不清楚，但是这种娓娓道来的正剧很对胃口。
从婚礼开始，到葬礼结束，有人来了有人走了，时代在前进，庄园也会迎来新的生命
唐顿庄园就是那种听篇头曲就能激动起来的故事。从开篇的婚礼到临近结束时的葬礼，到最后迎来新生儿。从默片时代到有声电影。从贵族庄园到摄影基地。从英式庄园到法国南部的别墅。虽然我超爱这种贵族气质，但是大表姐也可以去做电影配音。哈，更何况每一个庄园参与者都有一份温暖的感情。一切的一切，都好感动、好暖、好喜欢。
