The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 但总体影片氛围营造算是成功，并且主演奥利弗·马苏奇演技十分在线，把一个精神肉体被囚禁的状态成功表现出来，撑起了整个故事。

片子最后男主在疗养院里，一个酷似他夫人的女士给他读《奥德赛》，这一段没有看懂，不知道是不是在表现男主最终精神崩溃了。
剧本问题？？感觉演员都好几场都很生硬，转场很差，破叙事。
对于二三十岁开始放弃自我，最后靠孙子助攻拿到奖项的烂赌鬼，很难产生共情。还好有永野芽郁在，观感好了一些。
日本的文艺电影中的感情充满了 PTSD 啊（超夸张式的情感表达与动作演绎，配合着超礼貌性的语言文化）

追忆过去的部分真好，“人生就是只能选一种方式后悔”。山田洋次在这个年纪回望日本电影业的兴盛时期，不免有明日黄花之感。
但是以男主这种情况来展现电影之于人生的那些神奇瞬间，实在是难以接受啊
还好看完了，前90分钟都是为最后30分钟作的铺垫
跟着笑场了好几次；后边又看得嚎啕大哭，一发不可收拾。。
山田洋次的命题创作，我是冲着永野芽郁去的，不知道导演是谁。但看到后半部分感觉确实像山田洋次的电影。
青年组的表演略尬，老年组全然一副舞台感，故事在文艺和世俗间反复横跳…
电影里的老师小津安二郎已经逝去，电影结尾的时候爱电影的人死在电影院里，电影院也在疫情里岌岌可危……影片外的电影行业真是让人伤感。
老山田失手了。本片配不上这个名字。“神”在何处？剧情的“神转折”，抑或是人物的“神”逻辑？
感觉跟着老头一样的人多了去了吧，到最后才醒悟，来得及么？北川景子真漂亮啊！
