The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 在现在这个时刻，太需要这部音乐剧了。小镇人民敞开大门接纳受911事件影响的一架架飞机，女性男性同性恋、少数族裔、不同信仰的乘客一齐来到了小镇上，这一刻不再有性别与人种之分，面对突如其来的恐怖袭击，他们一同祈祷默哀，人们守望相助和惺惺相惜的状态太治愈人心了。现在世界正在发生剧变，宅生存成了普遍状态，可如果连人心都被锁进了幽闭空间，就挺绝望的。一人分饰多角的表演形式完美契合全剧的主题表达，而其中的个体故事也很有代表性，女机长唱的Me and the sky让人感动。小细节：演员在扮演汽车上的乘客时，身体会保持小幅度的晃动，非常贴近真实，好棒。不过一份分饰多角也会带来一个问题就是人物往往需要用念白的方式来解释自己的身份，剧中也有一段是人物发生争吵，但就匆匆带过了，没有正面解决，有点在意。

调度太棒了，转换的简单、自然、流畅和明确。
911事件本身是一个悲剧，之后发生的一连串事件也是悲剧。但是发生岛上的一切是真挚的，美好的，友善的。这在911发生的20年后，在疫情时代尤为重要。群像真的特别好，脸盲症都能把大家同时饰演的角色认出来，探讨的内容也很多样，面对穆斯林问题也不回避。演员们真的好厉害啊！

看一半就来打满分了！在俄罗斯和乌克兰这个时刻，不小心选了这个片子，一切是天意。演员超棒，口音满分，结尾的照片也太赞了
