The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 之前很期待的一部动画电影，观感也太差强人意了，剧情太套路化，歌曲也不够出彩，最近出的几部动画电影都令人失望。
依旧是平庸和天赋间的冲突，因为天赋高因此被寄予厚望，因为平凡因此被贬低嘲笑；似乎在每个角色和地位上的人都会遇到不同层级的压力和失落。动漫的前半段优于后半段，尤其是歌曲的部分。
有点失望。与奶奶的和解，接纳自己的普通，剧本太普通，全片没有亮点。
很老套的故事，颜色漂亮歌可以。祖母变严和变慈祥都太突兀了。家人对自己不好还一味想着家人真的看得有点心累。这是主要面对墨裔观众的吧。
平淡但温暖的剧情（中途多次落泪）+有趣的人物设定+精彩的歌曲（迪士尼Classic+Pop的新元素 很惊喜 好喜欢surface pressure那首）真的很好听！
開頭才發現是J.C.STAFF製作瞬間挫了一下，所幸成果是他們骰到高分的作品。整體架構像是《Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-》（希望帶給人們幸福的AI歌唱機器人）+《龍與雀斑公主》（近未來高科技架構世界與封閉內心的女主）的感覺，縱使沒有丟出什麼特別的想法但不依賴龐大的野心與無用且濃厚的說教意味，只留下講好故事的真誠，讓整體令人感到賞心悅目，也就夠了。
感觉不是成人向动画，也不是儿童向动画。2022.01.08
这不比龙与雀斑公主好看？？？（啊！虽然音乐上还是雀斑公主的好听一点…）Tao酱的声线还蛮适合配AI的，可可爱爱！
一直强调家，但感觉这个家也没爱，女主没有天赋就不被喜欢，叔叔因为会有不好的启示全族就缄口不提。那可是神蜡给的天赋，你不喜欢，那不就是对神蜡的决定有质疑咯。

至少比雀斑公主不知道高到哪里去了。最后解决问题的思路感觉是某种大河内风格的爱与魔法。
刚开始的ai简直就是人工智障，动不动就唱歌乱来，我就很纳闷这居然是一个顶级科技公司敢放在学校试验的作品，后面真相一出就都说得通了，这其实是一个小学生的ai作品，公司的原程序已经被黑了
夏娃的時間的主題換套殼，用更大眾的手法刻畫。雖沒有太大突破，可一看。
奇迹，就是你自己。歌真的是好听，非常非常迪士尼。
又一般又温馨，浅薄但也温暖人心（过于理想化的世界）
待丝剋，哈哈。谁说AI是危险的、恐怖的？？他又不吃不喝，不用包包和鞋鞋，他生来就是为了这世界更美好。真正危险的是那些蠢货，尤其是还有权的蠢货！记得要幸福哦~~
AI和音乐结合在一起，让人联想薇薇萤石眼之歌，作画和人物真的好看，透视与运镜也非常流畅，就是这故事有点走迪士尼了。
中规中矩的迪士尼动画，除了歌挺好听，也没有什么出彩的地方了。
思考了一下为什么如此不现实又不同于我的校园生活的故事会这么打动我，大概是这种毫不迟疑的爱击中了总想被认可的我。希望有一天，我也能够成为坚定说出“我现在很幸福”的人。
在这种隔绝又纯粹的青春片背景里讲述对AI的乐观展望轻松地就戳中人心，无处不在的幼驯染小心思让全篇都充满了青涩甜美的气息，两种美味的交织起来，再加上以女主和母亲的关系为线索的一些些女性主义作为调味，前半的体验还是很棒，结果到后半画风一转变成少男少女以游戏般的方式反抗父权的戏码（顺便还带上母亲作为“共犯”），仿佛是我们的七日战争第二季，结果一看编剧，不愧是你，大河内一楼
