The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 构图好美，配乐超赞，很多长镜头。
看了开头，因为剧情太慢没看下去。睡前竟然又惦记起来，想知道她怎么克服那些终会将人磨平的荒芜，但是却看到，有的人是不得不选择游牧。人行天地间，忽如远行客。
威尼斯时盲奶中一只金狮，如今相见果真是我的菜。在漂泊中寻找安稳，在孤独中享受自由，在世界尽头呼唤爱，不是无所畏惧，不是没有遗憾，可唯有如此才能诚实面对自己，获得平静。渣画质都能看到落泪，期待在大银幕重逢
“谁此时没有房子，就不必建造，谁此时孤独，就永远孤独。”路上的那种孤寂感想起了里尔克这句诗以及亚历山大-佩恩的《内布拉斯加》。
对话写得太好了，几个配角的对白都令人落泪。个体叙事高于一切。
真诚与真诚之间，有一段温存的怀疑。赵婷喜欢将镜头裹着倾斜与呼吸感，怼到她关注的事物上去。她的特写透露着一种关切。

Fern驶过寂寥无依的大地，白雪覆盖的公路；注视过汹涌澎湃的大海，炽热的福玻斯神光。你以为她是自由潇洒才总在路上，但失去所爱的她悲不自胜，茕茕孑立。这片孤独的大地啊，有着一样孤独的人群和孤独的灯；孤独的房车里，困扰着成百上千孤独的灵魂。
不是无家可归，而是有过不去的心事不愿回家宁可浪迹天涯。
恭喜赵婷。但我还是要说，这个电影真的很难进入，也很难让人接受，大段的慢镜头，过于平静和冷峭，这就是一个超长版的MV。
骨子里向往自由的人，并经历了所谓“稳定”的幻灭，彻底而决绝地再次投身自由。孤独只是个必要的装饰品，所有的感情也都自然无法长久，只有“在路上”是永恒的。所以，“路上见”。

对于成千上万个Fern来说, 生活是一种选择, 或许现实没有给他们选择的余地, 但他们却永远葆有去选择的勇气。
