The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 根据南非种族隔离期间，一桩真实的人质劫持事件改编，不过与当时的实际情况有很大出入，属于对历史的再创作，掺杂了很多剧组单方面的理想化的虚构。

电影版画面很唯美、故事讲的也很好；
真实事件改编，节奏感非常好，全程无尿点。
最开始由黑人男主问到“自由的代价是什么”。到最后由白人警察互相问到“自由的代价是什么？一切”
改编并不出彩，剧本对于事件现场和南非社会两个尺度下种族冲突的平行刻画都很肤浅，但看得出导演和编剧在质感和节奏上，有意努力模仿同经典的题材/同类型电影，这方面《血腥星期天》是标杆。作为一部中低成本时代背景电影，视觉还是很良心的，尤其是服化道。值得一提的是，前南非军队特战军人创设的G73 Tactical Advisors战术/安保机构为该片提供了警务指挥与战术顾问、演员枪械训练、警察特技群演、警用服装/装具、警用载具（包括直升机）。

摩天轮上，女主羞涩地想要表白，但一直说不出口，男主主动说「我喜欢你」，女生喜极而泣。看到这段，在联系到现实中很多gay一面说自己是同性恋，一面又骗婚生子，目的达到后就冷暴力妻子……觉得男主惨，女主更惨。不过从某个角度来说，男主只是个高中生，他努力想要融合进刻板印象及其深的高中生活，做个普通学生。他最终也意识到自己的行为不对，不再伪装。

我不了解一个男同喜欢上女生的概率有多少 但从电影里看出的 安藤同学从压抑自己到拆下围在身边那堵墙到可以和周围的人融合 是个自我和解的治愈之路

这片子评分有点低啊，个人赶脚挺不错的，黑与白，自由，人类，演员演技也不错
各种型号的今井翼都好帅，有魅力；如果阿诚不是骗婚gay（最低），人设还是蛮适合做伴侣的。
