A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
讲故事的方式和故事本身都中规中矩，一部传统而温柔的电影，四星。然后：作为一个不停地搬家的，习惯背井离乡的人，时而不时地被各种细节打动，加半星。片尾朱迪丹奇的大特写额外再加半星。（这是一条纯粹出于独断和偏见的短评）
精美，reference High Noon的街道和配乐还挺妙的。
除了設計感，似乎也怪過多的設計感，讓這個故事始終行走於內心之外，欠缺更多的感染力。
将童话与现实完美结合起来，将历史与现在带到我们每个游子眼前，而那最后的台词直击我心：go, go, don’t look back. 只因过去一年我也说了好几次相同的话。评论里很多人说这很导演personal情愫，可我却只看到一种与我们的互通，丰富，引起我多层面的共鸣。意外潸然。
看到一半睡着了，看完剧本发现那些地方睡过去也不影响理解。全片唯一让我印象深刻的就是开头吧。詹米多南拍拍这种角色挺好的，逐渐让我摆脱五十度灰的印象，虽然一开始看还是有点出戏
不自觉会想到《罗马》，自然会比较，质感还是差很多。过多的音乐和电影元素，虽然个性化，但也有种向外输出的冗余感。更像个人影像回忆录，意义更多可能还是在于追寻和纪念，以及再一次告别吧。一些对话很有意思，让沉重的离别变得轻巧了些。因为有共同经历，对其中的感情很理解，对我来说大概也是 Beijing is one small step. The town will still be here.
别的不说，有些影调有种迫冲的感觉，真不错。话说我也差不多是这样异地夫妻环境成长的唉～
这是一部充满导演本人向奥斯卡评委会无限谄媚的作品，全片到处都是各种奇技淫巧的设计:黑白画风+复古年代戏+故乡情缘+小孩（童年）+迷影梗+金曲串烧+政治议题。确实因此拿到多项提名，可惜的是故事脚本太过孱弱，而且，因为太过刻意，一切都显得很假，摄影棚质感的复古街区，已经负债累累却窗明几净俨然一副中产阶级的家庭。。。就很让人出戏，本以为可以在“英国内战”的大背景下看到英国（北爱尔兰地区贝尔法斯特）某一户普通老百姓一家人携手与命运抗争的时代画卷，很可惜，导演功底尚不足以表达好这样的深刻议题，只能浅尝辄止。与同类型佳作《罗马》比差的不是一星半点。当然，全片也不是没有优点，摄影一星，音乐一星，小演员很可爱演得也很有灵气一星，综合三星，可看可不看。
有詹米多南就是烂片无疑。
3.5星。很《罗马》，但绝对逊于《罗马》。小孩很可爱，以至于整部影片都随着小孩的视角可爱起来了。
7.7分#献给贝尔法斯特往昔的一封黑白情书💌片子中善良快乐的情绪远超那份沉重，想看后来巴蒂有没有回来娶到凯瑟琳～ p.s.怀念北爱街头漫步的快乐时光
致那些留下的故人，致那些离开的游子，以及所有那些迷失的人。
喜欢papa，还有他那段话：记得你是贝尔法斯特15区的，在这所有人都爱你，走的多远变成什么样也不要忘记，这大概就是故乡和家人的治愈。配乐也很棒，喜欢爷爷奶奶，爸爸妈妈之间的感情，虽然妈妈有点飘浮，但真是个美女。
“贝尔法斯特”是所有人遗落于身后的故乡，魂牵梦绕的是留下的故人、离开的游子和所有迷失的人，而离开，像所有的迁移和背井离乡的不得已一样，是城市衰落的征兆。天主教徒与新教徒很难调和的胶着导致国家的分裂。孩子问父亲自己跟女同学会不会有未来，父亲说，无论她是印度教徒、南方浸信会教徒或是反基督的素食主义者，只要她善良、正直，彼此互相尊重，随时欢迎她和她的家人。无疑，父亲的一番言论以及父母亲的鹣鲽情深都得益于祖父母的言传身教。祖父说，你不能通过在公园里走来走去来获得智慧。祖父语出惊人，是真正掌握生命价值本质的那一类人。无论是孩子从电影艺术中所摄取的人类文明的营养，或是新教神父具有表演性的教义宣讲，更或者紧紧贴合剧情的配乐歌单，跟祖父母的亲密关系相比，都只是一些无足轻重的修饰，都是以他们的爱情为原型。
我是真的不太懂奥斯卡了，开玩笑呢，工业水平甚至不如英剧，说成是舞台剧还差不多。
没去电影院看因为怕我只能听懂十句话（。但总之我自己还是挺喜欢的，北美移民家庭人看到最后还是无法克制地哭了一会
很多的耐心撐到後半，一家人是走是留到了迫切的時候，代入感才來。才覺算是真誠的部分。朱迪·丹奇最後的特寫，挽救全片，絕對誠懇地對故人的回望，真的掏心窩了，威力強大。
东一榔头西一棒槌地铺开故事显得有些轻飘，不能说全无可取之处，至少整体气氛还挺温馨的……
布拉纳用一种最自以为是的方式去复古，拍出了超低配的《罗马》
太不了解爱尔兰了，黑白的回忆七分情，三分真。了解了一点点贝尔法斯特，无论哪里的人，基本的情感是共通的。整体7.6
