The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 太累了，基本就是在叙事，尼森老了 性感女神也老了 算了 不看了 没看完
真的很奇怪，虽然连姆叔近几年的高产网大我基本都没看，但是上次看他的冷血追击我居然意想不到的喜欢，而这部片子就像边境杀手版冷血追击，又让我前所未有地给一个没及格的片子打了四星。其实应该是双雄的戏但是只宣传了连姆叔一个人，皮尔斯的妆造其实是能把人更带入故事的，尤其在是观众已经疲惫到看见连姆叔的脸都知道他下一步要干什么的如今。结局落在了墨西哥警探身上绝对是优点，但故事的动因不成立也是绝对硬伤，也许主创也发现迟暮杀手洗心革面，对于救不动了的连姆叔来说是个适配度极高的题材，不过毫无逻辑和铺垫地开始故事还是可见草率。如今看连姆尼森一年十部网大，可能和港片迷看那一大票劳模一年十部片是同样的感受，如果不是流媒体，投资再多一点，这片子是可以小爆一波的，但可惜在小时候的银幕偶像现在不复英勇，电影市场不逢盛世。
本来还挺好的，就等着看警匪怎么联手灭掉大BOSS以及收黑钱的喽啰们，谁知道突然莫名其妙就结束了。是因为开局太大不知道怎么圆回去了吗，真是虎头蛇尾。
如果是男主回去找车，结局会不会一样？人啊，总是克服不了内心的贪欲
什么玩意，连姆大叔你是真的阿尔茨海默了吗被人忽悠拍这种片子？还有盖，你是居家隔离觉得没意思啥片都接吗？
其实电影还是可以的，就是这个字幕特么机翻的？？？已经完全影响对影片内容的解读，于是我又英文看了一遍，mf

没有围绕失忆做出任何有构思的桥段，还是个翻拍，马丁坎贝尔这年头是彻底摆烂了，连带连姆尼森、莫妮卡布鲁奇、盖皮尔斯……说到盖皮尔斯，最有名的作品恰恰就是失忆题材的佳作我诺神的《记忆碎片》，不觉得很讽刺吗？！
早知道能这样一刀头 个么这个老头头也不用这么忙活了呀
显然还在吃连大叔「飓风营救」的老本，但我还挺喜欢这种拳拳到肉的打斗风格，剧情虽老套，却看着并不反感，只是这结尾为了伸张正义，有点生硬
希望大叔能继续享受拍电影了乐趣，慢慢恢复丧妻之痛吧。

莫妮卡贝鲁奇风华不再，他的那个壮儿子扑在妈妈怀里属实恶心，恋童恋母的asshole，母子俩都有大病。
腹部中弹这一幕离谱了，毕竟墨西哥人朝车尾开的枪。
