The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 3.5 分 （私心为主演加了0.5分）。主演两人在巩固人设上还是挺得心用手的，尤其是负责加各种喜剧情节的Laurent Lafitte，这个角色的细节处理特别到位，风流不下流、有自知之明但是不会放弃自我、日常胆小但是关键时刻也能靠得住的混吃官二代。探案的主线当然是一眼看穿，但是文戏武戏交叉之间节奏飞快，尤其是几个大场面的动作戏设计得不亚于好莱坞水准！全靠网飞大手笔花钱。
剧情逻辑，镜头处理和群演调度，以及怪形塑造，仍有非常大的上升空间。

灯光组也需要有好评，悬疑剧的灯光太重要了，氛围感百分之八十要靠光线烘托。
一星半，金玉其外，被风格化的影像填补，但本质上仍是充斥着青少年狗血drama和内卷现状的职场青春肥皂剧，这种剧本质量是无论怎么包装都很难产生价值的，所以只能停留在对各种元素和其它电影生搬硬套的阶段，因此芭蕾只能作为符号，从内到外都与其无关。
